Latest Take Note Offers

All of the Take Note books are at least £1 off and some are as much as £5 off. Some would make great Father's Day gifts too. There are also Music CDs and DVDs.

The books pictured are only available until the end of June.

June Hot Meal Special

Our next monthly hot meal will be on Wednesday 30th June, look out for posters in the Café nearer the time. Booking is essential, the Creamy Herb Chicken in May was very popular!

Open again

We are now fully open from Monday – Friday 9.30am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm serving a full menu.

We are pleased to have seen many of our regulars back again and look forward to welcoming those of you

who have not yet visited us. We will be closed on Monday 31 May for the Bank Holiday.

Fathers' Day

Fathers' Day is on 20th June and we have a good range of cards and gifts including socks, keyrings, water bottles, multitools, paperweights and books.

Teachers' Gifts

This must be a special year to thank our teachers. We have a selection of cards to thank teachers as well as a number of appropriate gifts – do come and browse.

As we open to full hours again, we are in need of more volunteers. If you have volunteered in the past and would like to return, or if this would be new to you but you are interested, then please do get in touch. Our shifts are 2 or 4 hours long weekdays or Saturdays and they include a lunch if you work over the lunch time.

Community Fridge

Now that the Community Fridge has changed times we are looking for one or two more volunteers, maybe once a fortnight, from 4-5pm on Thursdays. Do let me know if you can help with this worthwhile outreach cause.

Prayer Breakfasts

As we are unable to meet in person, details of items to pray for as well as a thought for the month is sent round for the second Saturday in each month. If you don’t normally receive this and would like to, please contact us.

The next one will be 12th June. We do hope to be able to meet in person from July.

Cornerstone Board

After many years faithfully serving on the board, Peter Greenhalgh, a representative from St John’s, recently stepped down but we are delighted to welcome Jessie Ashton in his place. You may know Jessie as the wife of Chris Ashton, the curate at St John’s.
